  Insurance, I Don't Need Insurance, I Can't Afford It Anyway!! The Affordable Care Act (ACA)  Federal Subsidies  were not approved in the  Big Beautiful Bill .  The Democrats are pushing to have funding added for another year in the Continuing Resolution (CR), but Congress has been at a standstill. If you could have paid for insurance with help, you are now at jeopardy of not being able to afford it in 2026. Why should you care?  You get insurance through your work or  Medicare Supplemental  or  Gap Insurance . YOU SHOULD CARE, because without approval or support for continuing federal funding, your premiums are likely to increase too.  How? The number of people expected to lose or stop coverage through the  Insurance Market place is expected to increase dramatically.  The number of uninsured individuals will likely increase, driving all insurance plans to absorb the costs.  Your employer isn't likely to chan...

Don't Get Sick!

IS IT JUST ME ...Or am I the only Republican that can't believe our current President and his team are destroying life for those that aren't rich. I have voted in 13 Presidential elections and have voted Republican, except for three federal elections, this one included. I was very concerned by the MAGA stances that would hurt the country. I wasn’t in favor of the ACA medical but we need this for Americans (it won’t help illegals) that don’t have medical coverage through work, it stops insurance companies from going back to denying pre-existing conditions and placement of medical caps or limits on expenses. This is why the Republican leadership is keeping the Congress shuttered, because Democrats realize it is so important. Leadership needs to offer another plan or extend the current coverage for a year to allow time to replace this. The Senate voted 51 to 48 and wants the House to approve! Where is the middle?

 How have we become so divided in this once wonderful country?  Not only do our politics seem to be extremes, but even Christians are moving to extremes.  When hate, distrust, anger and violence are justified by a group using Bible passages, particularly from the Old Testament, it is discouraging.  It is embarrassing to say I’m a Christian and proclaim my faith , however, my God is not the angry God of the Old Testament, but a loving Father in the New Testament! One that proclaims the greatest commandment we can follow is to love each other.  I’m praying that in politics and religion we find our center again and stop shouting over each other but listen!
